ウィリアム・リンスコット氏は、タマキ・マカウラウ（ニュージーランド、オークランド）を拠点とするアーティストであり教育者です。彼はElam School of Fine Artsで博士号を取得し、その集大成としてGeorge Fraserギャラリーで展覧会「For better and for worse」（2024年）を開催しました。
この研究の修了後、彼はElamでProfessional Teaching Fellowの職に就き、フランスのパリにあるCentre des Récolletsとパリ第1パンテオン・ソルボンヌ大学美術・ヴィジョン修士課程が主催する、Saas-Fee Summer Institute of Artの2025年度プログラムに参加しました。
2023年には、リンスコットはポルトガルのリスボンで、Maumaus Independent Study Programmeに参加し、またHangar, Centro de Investigação Artísticaでのレジデンシーを修了しました。
これ以前にも、リンスコットはSamoa House Libraryの設立・運営を含め、様々な芸術団体に関わってきました。
リンスコットは現在、Auckland Festival of PhotographyとTokyo Institute of Photographyの支援により実現した、2025年度Creator Kōwhai Residencyの受賞者として東京に滞在しています。
Linscott is an artist and educator living in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland, New Zealand). He completed a doctorate at Elam School of Fine Arts, culminating with the exhibition For better and for worse at George Fraser (2024). Since the completion of these studies he took on a role as a Professional Teaching Fellow at Elam, and participated in Saas-Fee Summer Institute of Art's 2025 programme, hosted by Centre des Récollets and Master in Arts & Vision of Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in Paris, France. In 2023 Linscott participated in the Maumaus Independent Study Programme and completed a residency at Hangar, Centro de Investigação Artística, both in Lisboa, Portugal. Prior to this Linscott was also involved with various arts organisations, including setting up and running Samoa House Library.
Linscott is currently in Tokyo as the 2025 recipient of the Creator Kōwhai Residency, made possible by the generous support of the Auckland Festival of Photography and the Tokyo Institute of Photography.
